Creating Communities of Belonging and Inclusion Through Leadership, Strategic Planning and Workplace Wellness.
Organizational culture is the shared values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that characterize an organization. It is the foundation upon which an organization operates and influences everything from employee engagement to customer satisfaction. A positive organizational culture can drive success, while a negative organizational culture can lead to failure.
Organizational development (OD) is the process of improving an organization's effectiveness through planned interventions. OD interventions can be used to address a variety of issues, such as improving communication, increasing collaboration, and resolving conflict.
The relationship between organizational culture and OD is complex and dynamic. OD interventions can be used to shape and change organizational culture, and organizational culture can impact the effectiveness of OD interventions.
Assessment Process This is the foundation of our work and is highly recommended for BERC-Client partnerships. It includes a program-wide review of workplace culture, and inclusion alongside assessment of community context, data, and climate using interviews, focus groups, observation, document review, and analysis. Clients receive a written report summarizing key findings and recommendations. This process follows the triangulated case study model Dr. Bleasdale used for her doctoral research, a proven methodology reviewing lived experience, policy, and practice. Remote and in-person options are available.
Culture and Climate Assessment Conducting surveys and assessments to gauge the current workplace culture and climate. This helps identify strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that the environment supports employee engagement and satisfaction
To maximize the impact of these areas, consider creating a cohesive strategy that ties them together. For example, use the results from culture assessments to inform leadership development programs and align them with wellness initiatives. Regularly revisiting and refining your strategic priorities based on feedback can ensure sustained engagement and improvemen
BERC's leadership coaches will coach and mentor to prepare individuals for mission-based leadership for organizational change. Sessions are customized based on the interests and contexts of the individual, through self-review, reflection, and building a plan of action. We believe leadership is about: knowing who we are and how we impact change; knowing who our people are and what they need to be effective change makers; and knowing the reasons and routes for change in our communities. Remote and in-person options are available.
Do your organization's policies align with your mission, vision, and values?
